The Cap de Creus Natural Park was the first maritime-terrestrial park in Catalonia. On this cape there are ruins of settlements from the prehistoric period. It is a steep, rocky cape with an elevation of 672 metres that rises above the Mediterranean Sea. The area is full of dolmen remains. Its extension includes the municipalities of Cadaqués, Roses, Llançà, Port de la Selva, Palau Saverdera, Pau, Selva de Mar and Vilajuïga. The landscape of Cap de Creus has been a source of inspiration for many writers and artists. This park is made up of two distinct areas; the terrestrial and the maritime, its geological composition is unique in the world. It is a place of great biological, geological and scenic importance. Mediterranean and continental elements coexist, giving rise to an abundance of strange species, some of which are endemic.
It is an excellent place for bird watching, especially in spring and autumn, when migratory movements take place. There are many activities that can be done in this park, such as visiting the Cap de Creus lighthouse, which was built in 1853 and offers wonderful views of the surroundings and is also where the park’s information office is located. Another of the activities that can be done is the old path of Cadaqués in Cap de Creus, which is approximately 15 km long and takes about 4 hours, where you can discover symbolic places of interest such as the old town of Cadaqués, the house-museum of Salvador Dalí, the lighthouse and the monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes. Another of the most famous activities you can do in this natural park is snorkelling or scuba diving thanks to its great wealth of marine flora and fauna. Trinity Castle:
The Trinidad Castle is a historical monument located at the tip of the Poncella above the lighthouse, 60 metres above the sea and in the shape of an irregular star. It is a military construction, built in 1544 under the orders of Charles I to defend against enemy attacks.
It is a monument that must be visited, as it shows the history lived within its stone walls for centuries, as well as offering magnificent views.

The Ciutadella de Roses is a 17-hectare site containing the remains of the ancient Greek city of Rhode, a Roman villa and an 11th-century Romanesque monastery.
The entrance fee is only 4 euros, it is a walled enclosure that formerly protected the town of Roses from attacks by pirates and the French. It is a historical monument full of archaeological remains from the Middle Ages that is worth a visit because of the low price and because it brings together a large part of the history of Roses.
