Of all these beaches, the most popular with tourists are Playa la Almadrava and Playa Canyelles Petites.
Canyelles Petites Beach is located less than 4 km from the centre of Roses. It is approximately 250 m long and is characterised by its transparent waters reminiscent of the coves of Cap de Creus.
As it is one of the few urbanised beaches in Roses and has easy access by car, it is usually quite crowded in summer.
Almadrava Beach is located about 5 km from the centre of Roses, just over 5 minutes by car from Canyelles Petites Beach. It is also a developed beach, but larger than Playa Canyelles Petites.
It is approximately 500 metres long and 25 metres wide. It is a perfect beach to reach by boat or jet ski due to its proximity to the port of Roses and because it is protected from the tramontana.

At the top of the list of coves, in first place, we have Cala Murtra, located 10 km from Roses. This cove stands out for its crystal clear waters and its natural environment. Moreover, there is no better option than accessing it by your rented boat, as it is more complicated to access by car. It also stands out for having the European EMAS environmental certificate.
In second place, we find Cala Rustella. It is located just over 10 km from Roses and is less than 10 minutes by car from Cala Murtra. Access by land is still complicated, but you cannot miss this cove surrounded by cliffs.
In third place, we have Cala Montjoi, located 12 km from Roses. It is a cove of great recognition due to the restaurant “El Bulli” of Ferran Adrià, the great of gastronomy, which is built on the same beach.
The famous Cala Pelosa is located at the beginning of Cap Norfeu, 15 km from Roses. It stands out for being surrounded by fine stones, and for those who are not sand lovers, it is a perfect option.
There is also a beach bar that is renowned for making one of the best paellas in the area. They also offer direct service from the restaurant to the boats moored in the cove.
This is the last cove that is characterised by its rocky and wild landscape, ideal for contemplating an infinity of marine species and colourful fish. This makes it an ideal area for scuba diving.
It is located 18 km from Roses and is one of the most visited coves by tourists. It stands out for its open-air concerts on Sundays during the summer high season at the Chiringuito de Cala Jòncols.
